Wamm Phytotherapies Celebrates 30 Years of Service with New Partnerships and Community Initiatives

Wamm Phytotherapies, formerly known as WAMM (Wo/Men's Alliance for Medical Marijuana), celebrates its 30th anniversary as the nation's oldest medical cannabis collective, highlighting its enduring commitment to providing holistic care and medical cannabis to those in need. This milestone is further commemorated through strategic collaborations with local dispensaries, The Hook Outlet and Treehouse, enhancing its service to the community.

Valerie Corral, co-founder of WAMM, reflects on the collective's three-decade journey of transforming lives through access to medical cannabis, social, and political work. The partnership with Treehouse Dispensary has already facilitated weekly donations of medical cannabis products to nearly 60 WAMM members, supported by contributions from local cannabis companies. In a move to rebuild community connections post-pandemic, WAMM Phyto has resumed monthly in-person meetings at Treehouse, offering a safe space for emotional and social support. The collaboration with The Hook Outlet introduces the 'Pay-It-Forward Round Up Program,' encouraging patrons to donate their change to support terminally ill members, raising $5,000 since its launch. Additionally, the launch of www.safecannabis.net aims to promote safe and responsible cannabis use, with plans for a major media campaign on youth substance prevention in Q1 2024.

Looking forward, Wamm Phytotherapies, alongside The Hook Outlet and Treehouse Dispensary, is expanding its reach with a new retail location in Santa Cruz, aiming to serve over 200 members by the end of 2024.
